1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?

My product uses conventions by being very similar to how a normal rap music video is shot. My product is very similar because it uses shots like the ones that are usually seen in a rap music video. It Is also similar because I used all of the typical props and costumes that would be used in your average music video. Another reason Is because I placed the scenes in an order that you would usually see a rap video in. Lastly, I also shot my scenes in the exact same way that someone filming or acting in a rap music video would do. At the same time though some of the things that I did with my music video challenge the conventions of a normal rap video. One of the things I did to challenge the conventions was that I think that I did a lot of my transitions different than I person that was editing a rap music video would do. Another way that I think I challenged the normal conventions of a rap video was the way that I shot the music video. I challenged the conventions when I shot thee music video because normally there would be a director but for my music video, I decided to shoot most of my scenes by myself and filming myself. And I think that I challenged the normal conventions of a rap music video by doing those things. It represents social groups by being something that a lot of people that are very similar listen to and really enjoy. And I think that a lot of people in this social group enjoy the music video when rappers make one for their song, and I think that my music video represents those people in that social group. It could also represent a social groups issues like their reasons why they listen to that type of music or why hey enjoy certain types of music videos.

2. How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text?

My product engages with audience through music. It engages to the audience through music because it is a music video and that what the audience goes there to see. It also might engage with the Audience if people want to create there own music video like I did. It can engage with those people who want to make there own because it is the exact steps on how to make a music video all that they have to do is want to make a music video and follow what I did in mine and then the audience can create their own. It could also engage with the people who like the song that I chose to do the music video and maybe there curious. Or it could engage with people who are looking to learn how to make productions of any sorts. It could also engage with people who want to learn about the style of music that or about rap. It would engage with people who want to learn about it because they would be curios and want to understand it so they would watch it to gain interest in it. The music video would be distributed as a real media text by posting it on YouTube like I already did so that it could be viewed. It could also be distributed by posting it to any social media of your choice and people could view your music video there. Or you could distribute it by using advertisement. You could use advertisement because you could put your song name or music video name on like a billboard or in the newspaper and people can view that by themselves and then they can view your music video if they are interested.

3. How did your production skills develop throughout this project?

Throughout this music video project my production skills have developed a lot in many different ways throughout the production of the project. My skills like filming have improved tremendously. My filming has improved because I have learned and gotten better at filming myself. I got better at filming myself because I did it throughout most of the music video. I also got better at filming in general like doing pan shots or tilt shots like I did. I have also improved my skills in editing. I have improved my editing skills because I had to edit more than I have ever had to edit for one project because all the other projects did not need this much editing. So, since I had to edit so much it help me improve in the area. I also got better at planning for this project because of how much I did it at the beginning of the music video. I also improved in creating scenes for the videos that I shoot. I got better because I spent a lot of time thinking and working on my storyboard and creating scenes to act in. The final thing that I improved in was the overall production of my music video. I have improved in that because I am getting more experienced in creating the music video.

4. How did you integrate technologies – software, hardware and online – in this project?

First, I integrated my computer so that I could research and plan out what I would do for my project. Second, I used my phone, I used my phone so that I could film all of the scenes that I needed to shoot for my project. I also used my computer to order things that I needed like props. Then I used my computer so that I could edit all of the scenes that I shot from my phone. I also used my phone sop that I could search up images so that I knew what to draw so that I could create my storyboard. I also used my phone at the start of the project so that I could pick out a song that I like and that fits a music video that I could film. Also, I used my computer so that I could do my blogs after every part of the music video. Lastly, I used my computer so that I could do the CCR which is at the end of my music video project.
